History of the Problem
The Gender Gap has been around since the beginning of time. I think that the reason that we have a Gender Gap today is because the idea that men are better than women has been an unspoken ideal. This idea that men are better then women has been rooted in our minds since the dawn of time. I think that all this thinking that men are superior to women is because men's role in society has primarily been the protector and the hunter. Because these roles are essential to life, men who have these roles become essential to life, they evolve and become stronger, faster, and smarter because that is what life requires of them for humanity to survive. When talking about evolution the evolution of men is what usually comes up first. But women must not be forgotten, we have a role in society, and we were and are essential to humanity's progress. Because women are caregivers we have developed a more empathetic way of thinking than men. That does not make us weaker than men, it makes us stronger. Because of this empathetic way of thinking women are prone to less violence then men, we have a better understanding of the other sides point. Women deserve to be treated the same as men, because we may be different but we deserve the same respect.
The Gender Gap
There has always been a gap between men and women. This gap is more commonly known as the Gender Gap. The Gender Gap can be found in every single country, no matter the type of government, the race of the civilians, or if it's developing or developed. The defintion of gender gap is the differences between women and men, especially as reflected in social, political, intellectual, cultural, or economic attainments or attitudes.
